NEW ENGLANDERS REVOLT AFTER RFK JR LAUNCHES WAR AGAINST BELOVED COFFEE STAPLE DUNKIN

Robert F Kennedy Jr's war on Dunkin' Donuts has riled up New Englander's after the Health and Human Services Secretary called out the beloved coffee chain.

At a rally in Austin last week, Kennedy questioned the health risks of young women drinking drinks full of caffeine and sugar.

'We're going to ask Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks, "Show us the safety data that show that it's okay for a teenage girl to drink an iced coffee with 115 grams of sugar in it."

'I don't think they're going to be able to do it.'

The rally was on Kennedy's nationwide Take Back Your Health tour, where he visited Cunningham Elementary School 'to highlight the importance of nutritious school meals and the updated Dietary Guidelines for Americans.'

'Real food is the foundation of public health, and under President Trump’s leadership we are putting it back at the center of the American plate,' Kennedy said on a press release.

'Texas is helping drive Make America Healthy Again as we overhaul a broken food system and put our children’s health first.'

While the coffee chains have yet to respond to the health secretary's call, plenty of passionate New England locals hit back.

'Taking Dunkin' Donuts from Massachusetts... I would almost say yes to that simply because it would turn Massachusetts into a pro 2nd Amendment state immediately,' one user wrote on X.

'He can pry my iced coffee from my cold, dead hands,' another humorously said.

'WE WILL FIGHT AND WIN FOR DUNKIN! LONG LIVE NEW ENGLAND!'

One even commented a picture of the Boston Tea Party and wrote: 'Maybe this regime needs to remember we take drinks VERY SERIOUSLY in New England.'

Massachusetts representative Richard E Neal jumped in on the action and said: 'Wicked bad idea.'

Department of Health and Human Services spokesperson Andrew Nixon said in a statement to The Washington Post that Kennedy is focused on 'ensuring that the American food supply is transparent and grounded in rigorous science.'

'Americans deserve to know what is in their food and to have confidence that ingredients are evaluated through a clear, science-based process,' Nixon said.

Kennedy's comments align with much of his platform to 'Make America Healthy Again.'

'What we eat shapes not only our physical health, but out mental and spiritual well-being,' a recent post on Facebook by the secretary said. 'Returning to real, nutrient-dense food and supporting a healthy microbiome is how we Make America Healthy Again.'

'For two generations, we pushed Americans away from real food and flooded the market with ultra-processed products stripped of nutrients

'The result is a generation suffering from obesity and malnutrition at the same time. The solution is simple: EAT REAL FOOD,' another post said.

The Daily Mail reached out to the Health and Human Services Office, Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks for comment.
